Why Lindsey is Running

Lindsey, who previously ran in the 62nd House District in 2019, enters this race with a renewed commitment to fighting for Virginia’s working families. Drawing from her own experiences navigating a complicated and expensive healthcare system, advocating for her children’s education, and working to uplift underserved communities, she is committed to ensuring that every resident of the 75th District has a voice in Richmond.

A lifelong public servant, Lindsey serves as a Senior Research Administrator at Virginia Commonwealth University, supporting key research initiatives that drive innovation and economic growth across the Commonwealth. She knows firsthand how detrimental the recent federal cuts to research projects and jobs will be for our families to afford to keep a roof over their heads and food on their tables.

She previously worked in the Budget and Management Department for Chesterfield County government, ensuring responsible fiscal management of multi-million dollar department budgets, all while making sure that funds were reflective of citizen and community needs. Beyond her professional work, she has been a dedicated advocate for underserved youth in the juvenile justice system, helping to equip them with the job skills and resources needed to build brighter futures.

She and her husband Brent, a Navy veteran, have two children, Grayson who is 13 and Brianna who is 8, and both attend public schools in the 75th District.
